SQUEAC Report, Nangarhar Region (Jalalabad, Beshud and Kama Districts), (AADA)

Save the Children International (SCI) with support from ACF international conducted a SQUEAC training and assessment in Behsud, Kama and Jalalabad Districts of Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan from 1st – 23rd April 2015. This was with the aim of building the capacity of the SCI staff as well AADA staff who are the current BPHS implementing partner on coverage assessment. This being the first assessment to be done in the province since the inception of the OTP program, the assessment was also aimed at determining the estimate coverage of the OTP program and also identify barriers and boosters to program coverage. The assessment ultimately gave practical recommendations to improve coverage in the area. With use of Bayesian technique, the assessment presented point coverage of 52.6% (41.6% – 63.4%).
