SQUEAC Report, Kita District, Mali, August 2017
The SQUEAC survey, carried out from 12 June to 9 July 2017 across the former Kita health district (Kita, Sefeto, Sagabari), provided an opportunity for ACF staff and health district personnel to receive practical training on the SQUEAC methodology (Semi-Quantitative Evaluation of Accessibility and Coverage).

The evaluation followed the three main stages of the methodology, and the principles of comprehensiveness and triangulation were applied throughout the process of collecting and analysing data (both qualitative and quantitative), as well as during the case study phase. The derivation of the prior probability (belief in coverage), combined with the results of the district-wide survey (plausible evidence – probable coverage), enabled the coverage estimate to be determined through analysis using the Bayes calculator (Bayes SQUEAC). The overall coverage of the PCIMA programme is estimated at 28.4% (19.9%–39.2%). The Z-test gives z = 0.03, p = 0.9798.
