SQUEAC Report, DS of Kolokani, Mali, June 2015

Since May 2013, AMCPP and ALIMA have been implementing a program to strengthen the capacity of local stakeholders in the management of acute malnutrition in Mali (Koulikoro Region, Kolokani Health District) and cover the 22 CSCOMs and the URENI in the Kolokani Health District.

A semi-SQUEAC survey was conducted (stages 1 and 2 only) to identify the main barriers to access and participation in the PECIMA program and to develop an action plan to improve access to care. This investigation is the first of its kind conducted in the district; it complements the national SLEAC survey, which had established a coverage rate ranging from 20 to 50 percent for the Kolokani district.
