SQUEAC Report, Dadu District, Sindh Province, 2016

The findings of the SQUEAC (semi-quantitative evaluation of access and coverage) evaluation conducted by ACF in Dadu District, Sindh Province, Pakistan in April 2016 will help assess the coverage and effectiveness of the programme, including the treatment of malnutrition in integrated community case management (iCCM). The specific area of study was the six union councils (UCs) of the C Project, a cluster randomized control trial, split into the intervention arm (Gozo, Mitho Babar and Kandechuki UCs) and the control arm (Kolachi, Kakar and Sita Road UCs). ACF supports the national CMAM programme and the community health volunteers, known in Pakistan as Lady Health Workers (LHWs), in 30 of the 52 union councils in Dadu, a district with a population of 1.3 million, treating cases both at the OTP site (control arm) and at the Health House of LHWs at the village level (intervention arm).
