Home gardening for nutrition: Training Manual

This manual has been prepared with lessons learned from the past projects of Action Against Hunger in Nepal and aimed for nutrition security and income generation of low-resource and disadvantage groups through nutrition sensitive home gardening.

The objective of the manual is to enhance existing knowledge and skills of the farmers from different groups contributing to the nutrition. It is a two days training manual and can be utilised for training of farmers’ groups, individuals interested to do home gardening, independent farmers etc. The manual utilises participatory approach of training with interactions, group discussions, presentations, exercises, question-answers, role plays, case stories etc. Major sessions covered by the manual are:

·       Integrated Pest Management
