Access to PCIMA healthcare for Transhumant communities

MAIN OBJECTIVE

To improve understanding of the barriers to access to PCIMA services faced by transhumant populations in Chad and to identify a range of programme-based solutions that could address these barriers.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

a. Conduct a literature review on the health of transhumant populations in Chad;
b. Carry out qualitative research amongst transhumant populations in Chad, as well as amongst health, veterinary and other facilities in regular contact with these populations;
c. To carry out an in-depth analysis of the qualitative data collected, enabling a better understanding of the social and cultural factors among transhumant populations that have a positive or negative impact on access to PCIMA programmes;
d. To produce and disseminate a consolidated report containing the findings and analyses of the qualitative research;
