SQUEAC Report, DS of Kati and Kalabancoro, Koulikoro Region, 2015

IRC has been operating in the Koulikoro region, in the districts of Kati and Kalabancoro since May 2012 and is currently implementing an integrated nutrition/WASH program that covers both districts in their entirety, namely 45 Community Health Centers (CSCom) and Referral Health Centers (CSRef).

The current coverage rate is 40.2% (30.2%–51.2%). Although this rate is below the recommended standard of 50% in rural areas, it is above the national average of 22.3% (16.7%–27.6%) and above the Koulikoro region average of 31.9% (26.9%–37.1%)² The latest SQUEAC survey conducted by IRC in 35
health zones in the Kati District had shown a current coverage rate of 69.9% (62.3%–76.5%)³.
