National protocol for the Integrated management of acute malnutrition DRC 2016

The new protocol has the merit of exploring in greater depth the clinical aspects of cases involving major medical complications that significantly increased the risk of death in hospital settings with intensive care units (ICUs). The Ministry of Public Health’s aim is to have technical guidelines that best support the provision of high-quality PCIMA services. The new 2016 PCIMA protocol is much more explicit; it provides clarifications, comments and scientific information to enhance understanding of the actions required in certain specific situations. This boosts users’ confidence and consequently dispels any doubts or hesitation
