National Guidelines On Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition (IMAM) 2018

The National Guideline on Integrated Management of Acute Malnutrition with accompanying job aids and training materials is expected to provide guidance to health staff at all levels of service delivery; communities, health centers and hospitals on management of acute malnutrition. It incorporates the most recent World Health Organization recommendations on management of acute malnutrition. We entreat all health staff and management at all levels of service delivery to align treatment protocols with this new guidelines for effective identification and treatment of children with Severe Acute Malnutrition

• To provide a reference document to health staff to be able to screen, identify and treat children with SAM.
• To give specific guidance to the monitoring and reporting requirements of health centres and hospitals and to some extent communities
